It's been a somber day for me as well. Griffey was my idol, but I always strove to emulate Tony. And always traded for him first when playing franchise mode.

I grew up in San Diego. My father used to be a season ticket holder to the Padres from before I was born until I was about 6. He used to take me all the time. I remember that when players would come up to bat, some people would cheer, but when the announcer would go "next up, number 19, Tony Gwynn" the ENTIRE place went apeshit. It gave me goosebumps every time. Godspeed, Tony.
